Thanks, Dave.

On another note, are you planning to go to the PSPCS swap meet next month? A few of us PacNW APUGgers will be there.

I just picked up a box of goodies included one FM2n (sadly with a bad meter)

first 4 ser 8000
60BB inside

try cleaning battery contacts and pulling the lever wind out and in a few times if neither improve likely battery wire gone green...

works ok without battery anyway.

There is already a chart that lists serial number ranges to mfg date on the web. What will this do differently?

Thanks. Your FM2n dates from March 1985. Your F3 might not be stamped. I've come across some cameras that didn't get the stamping. But, I suspect it was built sometime in 1990.

That's cool. When you're ready, post'em up...

Here goes one: F3
first four numbers of the SN: 1897
code under the hinge: WA60

Note, however, that the W could be an N because the letter is a bit smudged. It does look more like W and when asked to read the code my colleague said WA60.

The other F3 is still working on its roll, but it will finish it one of these days.

Looks like it's probably a smudged O9VM code... So, October 1989. Which means that Axle's camera is either a very late 1989 production or early 1990 production, since it's less than 10,000 units newer than yours.

I took me a moment to realize you were talking to me. So I looked at it upside down, ha. And yes, you are right - it looks less smudged that way and it's definitely 09VM.
