A very comfortable thread this one!

Here’s a different type of thread attached to the Kodak Retina, with knots tied at 2.8 feet, 3 feet and 4 feet to help with some close up - wide open snaps. Inspired by others on Photrio… Might work!

Simple but basic way to capture those close up images without wasting frames.

A folding rule works as well, especially one with a sliding brass rule in the first section for detail measurements.

Cheers.

With the changing light, I've been noticing (and missing the chance to photograph) lots of reflections while on public transportation

Yesterday I came across our local Whitetail Buck. Beautiful animal with as nice antlers as will be seen in our county. Last couple times I saw this fellow he was traveling with 3 does. Yesterday he was alone and looked all worn out. 😁
Now he's got to stay low. And wait until next year. He literally destroyed my neighbor's bird feeders, knocked down the pole with the feeders.
I thought my neighbor was going to jump the fence and wrestle the deer 😠

Whitetail Buck

Oh yeah, this time of year you have to be careful of them. I've had the big ones stalk me and run me out of woodlands. They get pretty goofy if there are females around, much more reckless behavior.

This will be my tomorrow picture. I took it this morning and it just fits yours.

When the water gets like this with the correct amount of wind, it reminds me of old 3d renderings.
