All this talk about being in the darkroom is making me jealous. I've been laid up with a sinus infection for the past two weeks. Hopefully, I'll be in the darkroom on Tuesday. I use the local art gallery darkroom. It's an amazing facility, but hours of operation are limited.

Nothing clears the sinuses faster than holding a blanket over your head, over a steaming bowl of Rapid Fixer...

6 prints down, 5 to go plus one for the organiser.

My prints must be ready on Friday, so I hope to mail a package to the other side of the planet on Saturday

It's quite easy. Just denounce any allegiance to Max Verstappen and pledge your support to Daniel Ricciardo and you are instantly one of us! :D

Who are Verstappen and Ricciardo ?? Since Anton Geesink died I lost interest in sports somehow ...

Update. I spent yesterday in the darkroom and made my 11 prints, or so I thought. I made a couple of extras but as fate would have it three are ruined--two with cross contamination (by-product of trying to speed up the work flow I suspect) and one with mysterious marks like watermarks that won't wash out. Bottom line is I'm one short. My next opportunity to get back to the darkroom is Tuesday. If I mail them Wednesday there is an outside chance they will be in Hoffy's hands by the end of the year. However, it is more realistic to expect them early in the new year.

Yeah, I finally got to critiquing my prints yesterday, after hanging in the bathroom for a week or two. 7 good ones, that aren't exactly the same as each other, but if looked at individually they're all acceptable (so as long as Hoffy doesn't line them all up and look at them together I'm fine, by the time everyone else gets only one they'll look ok alone). But don't all you other guys make an effort to make anything that looks good, the worse the others are the less crap mine looks...

Prints (all 11) are in the mail! Thank you all for your patience.

I was shocked at how much more it costs to mail. I used to mail a heavier package of prints to Australia for under $15 Cdn. This time it was $20.60! Recently, our government postal service, Canada Post, increased the price of mailing a regular letter from $0.63 to $1.00. Anyway, this is about sharing photos, not complaining about the cost of postage. Hope you enjoy my contribution:smile:

My prints are made, just some minor spotting required. Should be in the post next week.

House sold 1hr ago, will have the dark room back after I move all the was stuffed in there to make the house look clean. Prints will be completed and in express post bags by Sunday arvo.

Its Gunna be close, but they should arrive before Xmas.

Mine in the post now. Bring on the Christmas holidays yeah!

I've got my prints ready and wrote all the relevant data on the back of each print.
I've also just written the letter accompanying the print.
So now wrapping it all up in one parcel and posting it tomorrow at the post office.

I will be getting mine ready in the next week while I have time off work - they should be in the post before the end of the year...

Still deciding what negs to print...........

OK, considering how close it is to Christmas, I think we can have a little bit of grace. Aust. Post is a bit back logged I'm sure, so there are delays.

That being said, I have only received 1 set of pics thus far! I'll update as they start coming in.

I still haven't gotten back into the darkroom to finish mine off after I rejected half the first lot. But I'll deliver them by bike courier (ie, me) once I have, hopefully before NYE if it's not ridiculously hot or windy...

If that is the case, can you hold off on your delivery? As of Wednesday night, I'm on leave until the 2nd of February. I'll still be around for most of this leave and I am happy to make arrangements that suit you, but I'll just need a bit of notice.

Cheers

Yeah, I was going to message to see if you're around at the time anyway (or just drop it in the letterbox or something). Don't say that I've got until feb, then I'll never get off my butt and do it (uni starts Jan 27, must not procrastinate that long).

Officially posted today. I'm told it will take 6 to 8 working days to arrive. So should arrive before New Year. Postage: Euro 26 (= AU$ 39).
