Instant Films
Hello! I am from Singapore and is currently based in Manchester for my studies. I shoot mostly on instant films (Instax, Fuji FP series, Polaroid). I am kind of into alternative photography and traditional darkroom at the same time (making use of school's facilities). Hope to learn from this forum.

Hello and welcome to APUG from western New England.

Welcome to APUG, from a Londoner.

Steve

Hiya from Lancaster (about 50 miles N. of Manchester)! Blights.

Welcome to APUG from a Canadian living in Japan!

welcome from one who was a foreigner in Singapore, some years ago.

Now how does `alternative' and Singapore work these days?
regards
CW

I don't quite get your question. You mean lomography?

Welcome to the APUG jungle:D

no not lomography, just that my two years in Singapore was a great time, but `alternative' and Singapore did not go together well back then - customs asked me to cut my hair!:D
regards
CW

Oh! Think it's a lot better now. Accepting it better.

From someone who was born and bred just outside Manchester; welcome to my favourite city in the world. Lots to see and do and some beautiful countryside to explore. I hope you enjoy your time there. Regards, Paul.

Welcome to Manchester and welcome to APUG. There are a few of us in the area and a few central stockists of instant film.

Enlighten me on the "few central stocklists of instant film" please?

Sorry, missed your reply. You can get instant film in Fred Aldous in the Northern Quarter of the City Centre and also in PFD which is just near the MRI (hospital).

Actually, I think it was immigration...

`alternative' and Singapore did not go together well back then - customs asked me to cut my hair!:D

OU2, CW?

I had to fall back on my American Indian heritage and threaten them
with international attention over their lack of religious freedom...
just to get a 12 hour pass!

Eventually I did get in... but even that was with the stipulation that I "hide" my hair from the people of Singapore!

I still remember their answer to my question "WHY?"

They said "What would happen to our people (citizens) if they saw your hair?
My mouth fell open in disbelief. but eventually said, "I don't know, gain an open mind and learn tolerance perhaps?"

Truth is stranger than fiction....

The last time I was there there, hair length was no longer an issue.
