The 120 machines are fine, and very busy I am pleased to say, we not only have parts but engineers as well....

Excellent! Ilford are my favorite film manufacturer, and I would be gutted if the film dried up... Look after those engineers (and those machines!)

I was reading the responses of those who really want 220 roll film, have a look at this site;
http://centralcamera.com/film/
they are US based and appear to be able to supply re-spooled versions of a number of formats.

This is a bit of deja-vu for those of us who have been around here for awhile so no surprises, but man! Ilford, what a great company! Serious straight up answers, no b.s.

Not too long again I bought 220 backs for my camera. The only reason was I got my hands on Astia 100f, which happened to be in 220. So I got some other random things in 220 as well.

Need to try out more Delta 100, I usually just reach for Delta 400 for landscapes, and pull it 2 stops.

Absolutely. I buy Ilford film with enormous respect in hand. They are 100% committed to analogue photography.

That's great to have another resource for odd format films, just FYI B&H also carry all of those formats (save 127) of freshly rolled film... The story goes that they hire blind people to do it, which if true is really nice to be giving someone a job who's visual differently abled (totally PC verbiage).

620, 828, 220, all about $15/roll, so it's a but cheaper and not $22-$30/roll but having 2 sources is always good.

220 film petition

Simon, it is truly heartening that Ilford takes film so seriously. While I would enjoy having 220 to shoot in my Pentax 645n, just having 120 film is reassuring, giving the decline in film in all formats. (Where is the 127 of yesteryear for my Komaflex S? Essentially gone, alas!)

I've always thought highly of Ilford, and this report, while not what we all had hoped for, strengthens my affection for your company.

Pentax 645 inserts easily converted from 120 to 220 and vice versa

The title covers the story. The conversion is just a matter of removing a tiny screw, reversing the orientation of a tab, and replacing the screw. Fer Gawd's sake, don't lose the screw! If anyone's interested I'll try to work up a tutorial with visuals.

Keep the faith, my Brothers and Sisters!
