I find leicas are far superior to LF if in the graininess department.

yes - just trying to bring another perspective in - which is funny since I'm a 'LF guy'. But I think there's a lot of people who sit around with the tacit assumption that bigger film = better. Probably not for ralph gibson... I don't think his work would be possible or desirable with LF. As an example of what I mean to suggest...
