Any update with the lens? I really would like to see a self propelled 40x40 ULF field camera, I'd be willing to stea-- I mean borrow a golf cart :D :D. Seriously though, that would be really really cool!
 
Simple as dirt. Place a 5x achromatic loupe at the focal point of the lens and you'll have a 23.5x telescope. Use a 10x (1") loupe and you'll get 47x, the focal length of the eypeice lens divided into the objective lens give you the magnification. Of course, you also have two doublets with focal lengths of 96" or so....:smile:

And don't look into the sun - not even by accident !!!

I still have the lens (and another Mammoth), but am still looking for a suitable camera. I hope to one or both of them this year, if I can make or buy a camera.
