That is an impressive single frame, the camera must be massive, no?

OK, I received my C12 a couple days ago and had my friends 3-D printed the parts. I stayed up last night to do the conversion. I had never opened up a camera back before and also found out that I needed to sand down the printed mask etc etc., the whole process took about 3 hours. I am sure I can do it in less than an hour now.

A roll of Tri-X is in the back, and I took a couple test photos this morning. I will take a walk later and take some boring pics of the neighborhood. The kicker is that I have a 203FE, so I have some fast FE lenses. so that's a huge plus against the XPan, also, much closer focusing, and also the ground glass. The minuses are much heavier setup, can only handheld around 1/90, and no equivalence to the stellar 30mm XPan lens, and of course, slightly smaller image.

So I think if it works well, it will not replace my XPan, but if I just bringing the Hassy, throwing an extra back in the bag will be a no brainer, to gain some flexibility in viewing. Oh, my ground glass has the grid line, so I just use the center two strips. Should work fine.

Here's one image that didn't get too much light leak. One nice thing about this setup is that you can get much closer than the XPan and faster aperture.

Just registered to ask if you might be able to share more insights or even the print files for the cogwheel modifications needed. Sitting here on some C12 Magazins and want to try to convert one 😊
