Anyone try it? I found one hint that someone may have used 16 minutes 1:1:100 in the annoucement. I might have missed something in the 45 pages of commentary which i searched but didn't read.

Thanks in advance!

I have not. But I have both Pyrocat HD and Catlabs here and 16 minutes (with the film exposed at 200) seems like a good starting time based on suggestions I got from a different thread. Alas, I had some photos I wanted for sure on those rolls so I chickened out and used xtol.

If you try it, please let me know the results! I'll do the same on the next roll I shoot.

Since this film is the same as a couple of other products, you could look up the times for those and use them with the Catlabs film:
Agfa Aviphot Pan 200:
Repackaged as Rollei Superpan 200, Rollei Retro 400s, Rollei Infrared 400, Silberra Pan 160 / Ultima 160, Silberra Pan 100 / Ultima 100, CatLabs 320 Pro and JCH Street Pan.
From here: https://www.photrio.com/forum/threa...-films-and-kentmere-100-and-400-films.196304/

For Rollei Retro 400s rated at EI200, I see a time in the massive dev chart of 14 minutes at 22C and 1+1+100.

That's in the ballpark Koraks. I usually work at 20C, not 22C, but my rough guess conversion would put that close to 16 minutes likely.*

Thanks for the link and the lookup. I'll have a lot more confidence now starting at 14 min/22C

Edit:
*I just used the massivedevchart converter. Says 17 minutes 5 seconds for 20C.

Note that the time I pulled from the Chart is for this film rated at 200, not at 320 or even 400. YMMV and all that!

Absolutely.

I tried it at 200 and 320 in xtol, and it's FAR better at 200 for my tastes. I might shoot some at lower speed as well as the very long thread showed good results.

Great, have fun with it

I once shot some Rollei 400S many moons ago. To be frank, I can't recall what I did with it and whether I liked it or not...just that it was 120 film.

Just to follow up:

I put two rolls of Catlabs 320 pro 120 film with my Tmax 400; same tank, same time.
Exposed the Catlabs at 200.
14:30 time 1:1:100
Just eyeballing the negatives drying next to the Tmax 400, the expose/development seems right on.
Nothing scientific; just comparing negatives with some LED backlight.
Stain seems about the same as well.
