Received the Minolta 16 II with the number 0 lens came in, and it works, but bulb mode doesn't seem to work all the time. But it came with the 0 lens and the tripod/cold shoe adapter which is well worth it since I have a better condition 16 II that works.

Also I got my photos from the film FPP sells back from the lab and I'll post a few when I get home. Pretty pleased with the Minolta 16 MG-S photos. The autoexposure functions started to screw up during a photowalk I went to so I have a lot of under exposed shots, but I ended up buying another one on ebay that had the flash hot shoe and another cartridge with it and that one seems to be working a lot better. The film advance on the first one I have is really rough to use.

The only problem I have discovered with the hot shoe flash adapter on the MG-s is that it only has an electrical connection on one side of the hot shoe. Since most LARGE hot shoe flashes have contacts on both sides of their shoes, it's not a problem for them, but I have yet to find a SMALL hot shoe flash that has the contact on the same side as the Minolta adapter. There are lots of them, but the connection is on the wrong side!

My solution is the Sunpak AUTO 121S (the 121C appears to be the same, but the plain 121 is larger). The 121S has a built-in short PC cord connection -- which folds away-- perfect for the MG-s flash adapter. The other good thing about the 121S is that it has manual & auto exposure settings -- unlike most SMALL flashes.

With the 121S you set the f-stop according to the film speed, and the exposure will be correct for up to 12 feet -- ISO 50 is f2.8,, ISO 100 is f4, ISO 400 is f8, etc.

Just a prefect combo. Uses two AA batteries.
