Nicely stated. Sometimes it has become necessary to use colorful language to get moderator's attention that there is a bad actor damaging the thread. I noticed that after reporting a bad actor on a thread, of course this includes in and out of the Soap Box, the bad behavior continues and grows.
Good point. The belligerency arises because some have seen that there are no moderators to stop them so the act out. Then seen that nothing happens, the build on that.
I agree with AgX. In the past we have had some contributors start a thread and then demand complete control of what is posted. That cuts out all useful ideas and options. Those contributors left with little or no loss to the community.
I would consider it a landscape. One thing I do not do often enough is to look for close in subjects and especially looking around my feet. I do have some especially good photographs when I have looked down around my feet.
If you want to process color film, get a Jobo processor which controls the temperature and agitation and thus produces consistent results. You would still have to make prints of every negative so you can pick out the ones you want to enlarge.
I only started looking in the Soap Box because too many good thread were moved there because of postings about politics [the most common reason] or religion an infrequent reason]. The last two years there has been a newer pattern emerge: the same few non Soap Box posters purposely throwing in...
When I worked at Kodak I was told that color film can be frozen for at least 20 years without problems and black & white film even longer. I never asked about freezing infrared film, however I have frozen black & white film longer than 10 years without a problem.
I bought the C 500mm lens from KEH for a price I could not walk away from, and the lens was jammed. If I sent it to Hasselblad NJ to do a CLA that would have cost over $3,000US to fix. KEH did the CLA as part of the sale warranty covering the shipping in both direction. KEH did a superb job...
No, one needs to stick to two rules:
Always make sure that both the lens and the body are cocked before attaching removing.
Always put on the extender or extension tubes from the body out and add the lens last and then remove the cocked lens first and each extension from the end until the last...
It sounds like you do not RTFM for cameras and it sounds like you suffer from Operator Assisted Failures known as ab OAF*. Any camera can be damaged or rendered useless by not RTFM.
* OAF: usage - The OAF did this or the OAF did that.
All paper developers including Dektol do not have a long life no matter how they are stored. An opened package even sealed is not as good as an unopened package. I have not had an unopened package of Dektol fail, but evidentially that can happen. Any marks, cracks, creases or other damage to...
So please explain exactly how you will get the infrared film to take photographs showing the infrared images without the proper filters such as R23, R25, R29, R72?
