Here's a big shoutout to Tim Soderstrom of bitbybit Photography. I participate in Photrio's Postcard Exchange, and I used a lot of Ilford's postcard paper. I bought on of Tim's 4x6 darkroom easels. It worked great. Alas, Ilford discontinued the postcard paper. No problem, I thought, I'll just by regular 4x6 paper. I did; Ilford has two 4x6 papers, and I apparently bought the wrong one. The paper I bought was just a tad larger than 4x6, maybe 1/16 or 1/32 in each dimension. It didn't fit into the easel. So I gave Tim a head's up. Maybe he should warn/advise his customers. Well, time sent my a new easel, and sure enough, the new paper fits fine.

Thanks Tim!

Thank you. I may contact him about making a WideLux negative carrier for my Omega enlarger since his are much less expensive.

So the original Ilford postcard paper is a different size than 4x6 inch paper?? Is this a metric vs english thing? I have a antique speed easel in 4x6" only one I've ever seen, it works with the old Ilford postcard paper.

I would enquire of Harman why there is a size discrepancy for the 4x6 paper.
It looks to me that neither of the two sizes seen here should be labelled 4x6:
