there's some good info here :):

Selectol(not selectol-soft) is a really nice developer, similar to Dektol. Kind of an "in-between" I've found.
cheers,
Dan
c-41 is DESIGNED to be run @ 100F, NOT lower. You'll risk cross-over and color shifts(in general) if running at lower/non-designed temps.
I've done C-41 in a SINK(aka water bath) loads of times, and it's EASY to get it tempered and maintain that temperature in a ~1F range(+ 1f is better than...
Acratech is an AWESOME company!
Scott, the owner/founder is a real stand-up guy, and the products they make/innovate are truly outstanding(as you've stated :)) and IMO, are the *BEST* on the market.
Really Right Stuff makes very good stuff too. However, to ME, the "open ball" design that...
Ya'll need to get OUT more :P
go make pictures and burn some calories, rather than sitting in front of a computer :D
hahaha
apparently a non-working server
Fuji CA works great for me, doing optical prints from both Fuji CN and Kodak C/N materials, originals 35mm->4x5(I don't have access to an enlarger that can handle my 5x7 color negs as of right now, otherwise I'd be enlarging 5x7!)
I much preferred Kodak's Supra Endura papers, the slightly warmer...
I've decided to give up 35mm all together. I simply do not get any photographic enjoyment out of it. And TBH, I have "view camera technique" so engrained in my brain these days, I get to frame 10 and I'm like "I still have 26 frames to go, this is a waste!"
Anyhow, I'm selling my Nikon stuff...
if you can, carry the film on your person(like in pockets) if possible. A friend of mine does that, and goes through the metal detector machine w/o any delays, most of the time ;)
if the hood remains on the front of the lens in the same position, I wouldn't call the hood the issue, most likely mechanical(barrel in the way) vignetting is the cause. Not the hood.
If the lens move, but the hood(say attached to the body, not to the lens), then you'd have an issue.

very nice! I really like how you put the 3 crosses in there. The undulating mounds make your eye dance around the frame so you look at it completely. Very well done!
(4) boxes still remain, 1 has been sold over on LFF
Final price reduction. I'm moving this weekend and would love to see this get to a new home(s) before I move the film freezer:
$275/box, shipped in the USA if paid via USPS M/O or cashiers check. Paypal split the fees 50/50(so add 1.5% to...
Never going to use this again. If I need to wear a jacket, I'll wear a jacket. Just doesn't fit with MY style of working.
XL sized, almost an XXL IMO, maybe it's just because I've lost some weight, IDK. It's roomy, that's for sure. LOADS of pockets too.
same as this one...
This case is pretty much just like the Zone VI version, but this one doesn't have a maker's name on it. Very nice condition!
It doesn't stink, but has a slight twinge of 'must' if you decide to stick your head into it. I'll leave it out in the sun to air out for another day or so.

Hey all,
Plans have changed for me. Sticking with just 5x7 now.
•Camera is in great shape, some wear here and there. Please see pictures(link below to all of them). Bellows(original ones) had some pinholes in the corners, but I patched them.
•Ground glass is brand new, Steve Hopf made...
hey all,
found these whilst cleaning out my stuff from my folk's garage. won't be needing them anytime soon.
Some of the caps have some cracked bits. All are in need of a scrubdown, cobwebs and such.
(4) tanks w/ caps
(3) floating lids
$25 cash gets them ALL in your hands
I'm in the East...
hey all,
Well yes, it's come to this! Time to let the big girl go. Unfortunately my 8x10 days are over, and I have another, smaller Macbeth that suits my needs quite well.
This one came by way of a friend, unfortunately I haven't been able to put it into "service" as of yet.
Has good bulbs...
Yes, for buyers outside the USA. The $35 is to account for the difference in cost over what it'll cost me to ship this within the USA. $35 covers the first box. The more film you buy, the cheaper (per box) the shipping becomes.
thanks for the question,
Dan
works great. some small scuffs on the shell
has transparency lid installed.
no software(I used Vuescan)
no film-guides/holders (can be attained from ebay, I just used this for regular scanning and very basic 'proofing' where sharp scans weren't needed. just to see what was "on" the negatives :D...
