Ektar 100 is a really good film.
shoot it, have fun!
Make sure you expose and process it correctly. It behaves like a slide film(but has more DR), but you get a negative. It's more contrasty, but if you expose it @50ASA(like I do), the 1 stop in over-exposure helps to lessen the contrast a bit...
I've been using film that's "expired" by 10+ yrs or so, with no apparent age effects
IF IT WAS STORED PROPERLY(key point here)
I wouldn't hesitate to use this film down the road. Fridge is fine for short-term(upwards of 6mo), but frankly, just freeze it if you aren't going to use it quickly.

sorry to hear about your troubles.
but to be quite frank, go back in and DEMAND your money back
then find a new lab. don't be afraid to send your film out by mail if needed, there are LOTS of wonderful labs nationwide that happily accept mail-order, and won't scratch your film or leave chemical...
sounds like your internal meters(or shutter speeds on the gear train/transmission in the camera) are a bit slow. I'd be hesitant to call foul on the part of Fuji. More likely your lab(aforementioned "push process" by someone else), or a slightly slow shutter in-camera.

Hey all,
I've just received an email from Keith Canham regarding the start of a special order list for Kodak Ektar 100 in 5x7.
Please contact Keith if you would like to get added to the list on this co-op:
kodakfilm@canhamcameras.com
An estimated 38 boxes will be needed to put this order into...
I've never owned a Rollei(of any derivation), but have used a few. Great, compact system.
I have owned Hasselblad, and really enjoyed the "system" that it allowed me to have(usually comprising a 50, 80 and 120 or 150). 100% satisfied with Hasselblad technically, but I felt myself cropping it...
This lens DOES cover 5x7 with a small amount of movement. For 5x7, I'd recommend using the center filter(get one if you get this lens, unless you want vignetting with shifts, rise, etc)
cheers,
Dan

•If you want to go handheld, and be somewhat portable, then I'd stick with the P67 sytem.
•If you want more "options"(IMO), and like a rotating back design, I wouldn't look past the RB67 Pro-S/SD line. No batteries, all mechanical. Taken care of and exercised regularly, they're very...
Hi Scott,
Not that I have noticed. Some prefer the wooden holders because they feel lighter, although I feel they are around the same as plastic holders. Again, IMO. I have chosen to stick with plastic holders because they stick out a little further/longer on my 5x7 back on my 5x7 Deardorff...
Luke,
If you break the 5L kit down into (1L) sized portions, and then use each "portion" separately, the shelf life can be extended tremendously. Get some BROWN chemical bottles from a chemist(pharmacy), most usually will have them on hand, or can order them for you. Make sure they have...
