Logan.... It needs help.... this is not ususal behavior behavior. I would send the body to KEH for analysis.Doesn't sound too bad. but needs a real camera repair type to look into it.

Thanks. Yes I agree, the Nimh batteis I have converted are now superior. They work fine in all of my 600* cameras and I am using them more now. I have the 6008i in the car actually as an on-call camera with 220 film loaded for whatever may come up. Haven't seen any of the shots yet but I know...
Did mine, too.... seem to work pretty well, too. Hope they hang on betty than the NiCads did. I like the 600* Cameras but the batteries were always weak like there. Seem to be fixed now.

The lighthouse shots and the other ones next to it are suitably sharp and free of chromatic distortion. The guy with both types of problems may have a vision problem, a cockpit problem or a bad lens. Check those out first.

i DON'T KNOW, BUT I'D NOT Loose the SL66, they always seem to work. I recently got a SL66E to add to my SL66 and find myself using the old, trusty SL66 more than the 66E. I don't know. I just seem to fit better on the 66. But good luck with the SE. I know they are find goodies.

I checked out your web site and the horizontal display of images was quite puzzling to begin with but worked really well. Some good work there. Sad that the Harp is falling into such disrepair. Looks like a lovely place and you are showing it well. It is to be hoped that your work will urge trhe...
We should all study his work very carefully. It would stand us in good stead. I do. I have one of his prints and wish I had more. What wonderful work. Being handicapped myself I am humbled by his handling of an 8x10 with only one arm. What a guy. Logan
Hit these negs with some pretty strong selenium toner for a good while. Can be done in room light. This will build up what ever silver is left there and not hurt anything. It may save your negs for you. Ansel loved this as a contrast builder for those negs that went flat on him. Give it a try it...
I had been wondering where the Consistency Fairy was on that day. Glad to know you had her chained in the back of your car. She worked overtime on your negs. Good looking stuff and you owe her big time. Let her loose from time to time so others of us may temp her out here to NC from time to...
Really, really nice! I would put in some more contrast to bring out the clouds more but it it is super like it is. Really great shot. How I would love to see such a shot myself. Great work! Logan

I've done the same fool thing and will do it again, I just know. I love those beasts. Add to that having done it with the 645 as well. Can't seem to get those Mamiya's out of my system. Also seem to be doing it with the SL66's too ! But go ahead and have some fun!

iI am puzzled why we are taking up space here on HDR and the Zone System, one a Digital method and one a valid film method. HDR is not known, so far as I know to be of much use in film photography and one is. Those of us who know and use the Zone System and use it often, even some times when we...
I don't see any problems with any of these images. You seem to be getting good detail on the bottom of the cymbals in a probably very low light situation. I'd stick with what you are doing which I would say is working pretty well. I shoot Tri X at 800 and develop in old Diafine and get very good...
i'VE GOT 'EM Both and use 'em both and by far like the Rollei best. Just do. Rollei is a better camera in my eye, tho the 'blad is a fine competitor in all categories. I am just a Rollei man all the way. In fact I have 2 Sl66's. I have a vanilla one and a SL66E, the meter on which and I have...
I must say one can certainly do worst than a sl66 of any ilk for a walk around camera. I have a SL66 and a SL66E my self and I love both 'em. The 600* models are fine shooters I must say but they are heavy and ride like a cinder block and the lenses are superb, but I do like the 66's better...
