    Oh no! Rolleiflex lens chipped?

Why not shoot a quick roll with it and see what it shows if anything, you can dev the roll yourself or just a one hour photo lab. You'll know for sure if you have an issue or not.

    Buying Equipment from KEH

That's really only 1/2 true. See, if the other person does have a higher number then he/she had put down as their initial max bid and then see's your higher bid, he / she will go back. But, if you wait, he/she will never see that higher bid, leave it alone and then you will grab it for less then...

    Buying Equipment from KEH

Learn how to snipe...... I feel your pain but I learned that lesson long ago and walk away with more then I loose at good prices because I found that if I bid too early I'm giving my "hand" away. Anyway..... There is nothing lower then UGLY so please think of that. There is no worse then......

Kodachrome and other quality films - which to use for portraiture and weddings

I second jglass' post on Riccis et. al., and Analog Photo Radio, too bad the Radio program shut down and scott never posted why but when on to other shows. Not a very nice way to treat a loyal audience. Jonathon is where I got the idea for shooting with Fuji 800z and over-exposing a stop or...

How much can you alter the characterstic curve with developer?

I may finally have an advantage over you guys.... I'm a relative novice in the darkroom, only the last year, and I clearly see a different curve using different specific developers. FWIW

    Nokton 50mm F1.1?

From the pictures I've seen on Flickr it looks to me that the 1.2 Noc beats it out, albeit 50 v 35mm. I also don't think very much of the DOF of this lens, again, from what I've seen. I'm planning on purchasing the 1.2 this week and this 1.1 is not even a consideration, even if they were the...

Making a pano mask for my Mamiya 1000s

Thanks all. I'm sure that was the way to go as well. (masking the glass / finder) Masking the ground glass will of course work but you simply have to remember how you composed when you print. Not a biggie but wanted to get some thoughts. The mask on the glass will at least help me in viewing...

Making a pano mask for my Mamiya 1000s

Guess the time in bed has me thinking too much. I can't afford a Xpan. (I'm to have a wedding for a good friend next weekend and it screams Panoramic) So, I was thinking about masking my 1000s and it's ground glass. Does that make sense or am I being a knucklehead again? Yes, I know I can...

Fuji 160s for weddings/natural skin tones for sure, but you really want to be amazed... Try Fuji 800z and overexpose by one stop, esp in the sun. Just amazing.

I'm sad and sick. I'm sorry, beginning last night in class I went into a MS relapse and spent a number of hours in the Hospital for delautin. You can not fathom how disapointed and sad I am. I would still make the drive expect my leg cramps and with Jared in the car it is very unsafe. I've not...

Hi guys and thank you for taking the time. I can't fill a tank first, wish I could. Right now I work out of a dark bag so that could be a issue.... Well Frank, that funnel idea is worth a shot. Evening all. I'm having the same issue with my patterson 4 tank. I'm filling as fast as I can but it seems the bottom reel is still getting a bit overexposed more then the top reel. Is there any tips/tricks that could help? I've searched but came by nothing. Thank you. Tom
