Will it set itself up, load the film holder, pull the dark slide, take the photograph, insert the dark slide, remove the film holder, and load itself and the tripod back in the car automatically?

35mm or 120 film? Others here can recommend cutters. I use a scissors over a light table.

What do you guys prefer a Leica M3 or a Nikon F?

In that situation, I would definitely take the 50mm lens. I have found that I use the normal lens the most.

Never bought one. One can fix a string in a long loop to the tripod screw and put the loop end under their foot, stretch it tight [make the loop the correct length to do this] and that will hold the camera steady.

220 Cameras and Film Backs...Have Any, Think You Will Ever Use Them?

Back in 2007 I was going to buy a Hasselblad 220 back, looked at what was available in film, and bought more 120 backs. One of my better decisions.

Minolta Rokkor f/1.2 58mm lens is well worth its reputation and still highly desired.

Most places that return the film now only make digital prints. One needs to ask first.

I shoot film and my print is digital...'

Some dastardly photo finishers do not tell the customer before hand that they throw out the film. Talk to them to see if you can get your film back. If not get the manager a piece of your mind and offer them you finger.

Best/you're favorite 180mm lens for 4x5, and why?

Yes the 180mm is superior to the 150mm lens for portraits, but I very rarely take portraits.

Best/you're favorite 180mm lens for 4x5, and why?

The Hasselblad 180mm lens, but I do not own one since already have the 150mm lens and the 250mm lens. Donations of the Hasselblad 180mm lens or cash will be accepted.

Want to Buy 35mm Infrared film

I like the Rollei IR 400 film which I meter at ISO 400 and adjust for the filter I am using. Much simpler than IOS X for filter A, b ISO Y for filter B and ISO Z for filter C, or was that ISO Q???? It is available in 35mm and 120.

So, I have an off-brand 28mm lens - how to evaluate character?

Look through the viewfinder, rangefinders need not apply. There was a big difference when compare, but normally they are not compared. Looking at a subject and changing lenses, I could see a big difference which always bothered me.

Also look at the lens contrast. Before Vivitar came out with the Series I lenses, I bought a Vivitar 70mm to 205mm zoom lens and its contrast was greatly inferior to all my other lenses which were Minolta Rokkor lenses. I have been very careful since then when buying off brand lenses...

    Wedding Film Photography Tips

Great recommendation! Also renting allows one to see how a piece of equipment works and handles. Often if one decides to later buy the equipment, the rental costs get removed from the price. If the equipment is infrequently needed money is saved. If it turns out that one does not like that...

Width to width makes sense as well as scaling focal lengths. I use the latter if I do not have the angular width for each lens.

But using the diagonal means nothing when comparing 6x6 with 24x36. The diagonals just do not convey the different formats.

I will take this all with more than a grain of salt, although I only use salt for baking when it is need for a chemical reaction.
