Ansel Adams wrote in some of his books that manipulating color was more limited than black &n white, and that color would go unrealistic once outside a narrow band. Therefore he preferred to concentrate black & white.
I have used my Nikon SB-800 with my Nikon N75, Nikon F100, Nikon Z7II, Hasselblad and 4"x5" Speed Graphic with ease. Usually I use it bounce the flash. It has plenty of power for that.
Good to know. However I am using only four processors with a slow memory bus and slow memory. It already takes minutes to boot up with full memory and all operations are slow. I will be moving to 60 processors, full memory, a separate 2 TB drive for Time Machine only and a separate 2 TB drive...
Problems with glass breaking. I use 1 liter StopLossBagsTM with their funnel to safely move the chemicals back into the bags from www.stoplossbags.com and 1 liter JOBO bottles. The StopLossBags keep air out of the developer.
"The force of GAS, resist one cannot." Yoda, Star Wars DCXXLVII. On the positive side, I got to the point after stoking the GAS, that I have no long felt GAS for many years. Enjoy the GAS.
I will look into that, but I believe that I have to reboot every time I want to work on the digital photographs. I have a very large number of exposures and that route, if it works could be awkward.

The camera needs to be looked at by a camera repair person. Either there is a problem with the body or the lens or both. Do not force anything. Best wishes on clearing the problem.
The pre Series I Vivitar was dark but its contrast was sorely lacking. A photograph of the subject with a Rokkor lens had noticeably better contrast the the Vivator's contrast of the same subject taken a the same time.
Actually not.
If I could, I would.
I can't, so I won't.
The highest Mac OS I can run is not compatible with the MicroSoft suite including LightRoom and PhotoShop.
I can read negatives to some extent. I have been working to learn to do that. Only made some progress with black & white negative and not so much with color negatives, I only have been learning for 68 years. Therefore I use camera store prints and contact proofs for sorting and choosing...
In high school my brother's friend brought a right hand drive car. If they were out driving and someone followed too close, his friend would let my brother know. My brother was in the left seat and turn completely around waving his fists over his head and shouting. The other driver reacted in...
Choosing the shadow detail and setting its Zone does not eliminate the use of dark shadows. In fact it makes it technically available for the desired results.

While I can develop and print my 35mm color print film at home, it is more convenient and not very expensive to just send the film out for development and printing.
I use and have use GIMP for years, but I still find it a bit more cumbersome than PhotoShop. I do not like that I have to rent PhotoShop and that I have to use Classic to avoid MicroSoft from mining my photographs.
I want the ability to add PCI boards to the computer. Now one can no longer upgrade the processor or expand the memory in the tower. The use of PCI cards allows me to upgrade other things that one cannot do with a MacBook Air. Also I have a much large screen than the MacBook Air has. Thank...
For years I have been putting PrintFile sheets with 120 and 35mm negative in the print frame for proofing. The only downside is that 8"x10" paper is a bit too small.
I agree. It took me a long time to embrace the Zone System. In the early 1970's after I finished grad school and was working full time I had upgraded my Minolta SR7 to have several new lenses. The people at work arranged for a seven or fourteen day class with Ansel Adams in Yosemite. I being...
As a counter point: I started using a new digital camera, Nikon Z7II, for taking digital photographs in Antarctica so that I would not have to worry about dropping film wrappers on the continent and not having to deal with windy weather. Note: nothing can touch the surface in Antarctica but...
Part of the success of the less expensive wide angle lens is because wide angle lenses have such a large depth of field that the are more forgiving of some optical problems.
