I own the M 50/1.7, A 50/1.4, and A 50/2
The A 50/2 is the one I prefer since it's the most compact and light and balances very well with the ME. And, very important, the front element is recessed (protected).
The A 50/1.4 is probably the best 50/1.4 i've owned in any brand, and i've owned a...
Yes, they are charging a bit more than 2x 120 rolls, sadly.
I guess that's the price to pay for the convenience of not interrumpting your shootnig on an important event or so. On 6x4.5 this means 30 shots per roll (sometimes 32, depending on the camera), so a lot of pictures.
That's just your opinion.
Now, regarding the price of the 85/1.8, i agree, usd $800 doesn't make sense at all. It's all the fault of the cinematographers.
Some ricoh lenses.
Ricoh started as an optical house ("Riken optical institute"). They did make lenses, good ones btw. And Pentax did manufacture some lenses for Ricoh.
I have faith in Photo Engineer (rest in peace dear friend).
My take on this is as follows -- B&W reversal is no new stuff, it has probably existed since the first negative silver halide emulsion was made. There's tons of past research into it.
However, to produce an optimum slide from a...
Sounds like something that could be respooled with a fancy new name and sold like hotcakes...
Really, a film that can be pushed without contrast buildup? I want.
Sorry, this has no sense. They're entirely different cameras. For starters the XR-P has a proper shutter speed dial, the Pentax Super-A has buttons for setting the speed, etc.
Pentax made some Ricoh-badged lenses. See:

In any case the part in bold can't be credible -- Ferrania had a HUGE factory and to make things profitable it needed to keep it running.
The other part of the business of Ferrania was doing the conversion (cutting, perforating, packaging), to sell brand-label film.
But Agfa also did the same...
Brother Mohmad,
There's a problem: I thought it was widely known that the Ilford color films were produced by Sakura (= Konica).
So if, according to what you say, Ferrania was making Konica/Sakura films, then Ilford wasn't making original research.
I find hard to believe that Ferrania made...
Yes. This is a very important part, a key part, really. When they started this project not only Fuji was the sole maker of E6 (along with some remnants of Agfa Aviphot Chrome 200), but also the only makers for C41 film were Kodak and Fuji.
Now the things have changed, we have Kodak E6 again...
I would like to know how are you assesing corner performance. Are you looking at film scans? That's a no no.
You should, ideally, be looking at the negative itself with a strong loupe or with a microscope.
So let's assume you're doing that. You meantion that the lens is "pristine". There's a...
