Not just a baby jogger - check out a "Nordic Cab" - stroller, bike trailer, dog sled, ect - rated for 110 pound load and has a solid plastic bottom. I have been down this road and a NordicCab is one of the best solutions out there.

I would be interested in any users opinions on either the Shen Hao HZX810 or the HZX57-IIAT. Both are the teak and titanium models classic design (not the Philips center focus design). I am looking for some information on build quality, smoothness of operating, general impressions, or...
Check the fish tank guys - they do very bright as they want to keep coral alive in their tanks without adding extra heat - they want it to be like sunlight. Their DIY kits are not the typical kind that are used for household lighting.
Most LED manufacturers have web sites where they give the spectrum data - you can select a white LED that will give you both the green and blue you need for VC filters. Getting a set of filters is a whole lot cheaper and easier than building the control & timing circuits you would need to work...
Why not white and VC filters - much easier to assemble - do a google search for fish tank lights - there are a lot of people working on LED set ups for fish tanks and a few companies sell DIY kits.
Take a look at this website - 1984 Horseman Catalog - not all the models you have listed, but a good way to see the system and its parts -

Public transportation is your problem - it is really limited on LI to RR stations ( or limited bus routes which take forever to get around.) Why not rent a car for a day? Compared to RR tickets it may not be that much more and would open up a lot more options. Also, the walk from the Port...
$1400 for back and three holders
Will sell separately - $100 each for holders - $1100 for the back.
Canham 4x10 Back with Bellows assembly for converting a Canham 5x7 wood field to 4x10. Includes a ground glass protector (it has one stress crack but is still fully functional). I purchased...
Nice tool at a fair price and takes up a lot less room than a traditional densitometer - from your post it would seem you want to do readings of negatives. The only downside would be that you would need to mount it in the enlarger to take readings - so a densitometer might be quicker if you are...
Yes, but they don't lock at that angle - that is why I prefer the set up of the Uni series where you can lock the leg angle in any position you want with a handle at the top of the leg - this is also why a decided to buy a Ries which has the same set up. On ground that is not level I really...
I found the leg adjustments to be enough of an issue that I would want the two section leg over a three section - even if it were a little longer when folded. I also much prefer the individual leg angle set up of the "uni" series over the presets of the report series - so much so that I sold my...
I use a 5x7 Canham and a 4x10 Canham back. Takes very little time to switch formats in the field - the 4x10 back adds to the size of the equipment bag I carry, but it is smaller than an additional camera. For film I use the 4x10 from Ilford's special order, and I cut down 8x10. There are a...
I am rebuilding a Beseler 5x7 Diffusion Enlarger and need a little information. This is the floor standing model with the built in vignetting feature.
It was complete except for the wood table attachment that an easel would sit on. I have the base part that attaches to the post, and am...

The Zone VI baseboard used two aluminum beams that were mounted under the board. The enlarger mounted to the beams with bolts. They were "C" shaped and extended in a V shape. They were about 3" high and 1" wide - the material was about 1/8" thick. If I were making a base I would copy this...
A recent addition to my darkroom - found doing a Google search on Fotoman cameras - I have no connection to Fotoman other than being a customer.
Fotoman made ( and I think a few are still available ) a rather neat film slitter for cutting one 8x10 sheet into two 4x10 sheets. It also has a...
Unless you are working up close with a 120mm, why not use back focus for fine adjustments? Those locking levers would be easier to work with. I normally lock the front, slide the back for rough focus, lock the slide position and then fine focus using the back adjustments.
