One of the brass switch assemblies in a control box for operating the lock gates on the Erie Canal, would have preferred overcast conditions, but when you are there you shoot it - even in bright sunlight.

@tony lockerbie Looking at a lock filled with water towards one of the gated ends, ropes would be used to tie up a boat while the water level is lowered, white building has the motors and controls for operating the gates.
