You'd think by now I have enough film developing references... guess not.

I've used Tamron lenses for many years, usually SP. I've just worn pour my EOS mount 28mm-75mm f2.8, it is still a great performer but hunts at the 70-75m end, and there is wear, it's wobbly at those FLs. However, to be fair it has had very heavy use particularly in its early years, it's about 22 years d and paid for itself in well under a month.

I decided to replace it with a 24mm-70mm f2.8 Canon lens, should last me quite a few years.

It arrived a few days ago and

On 3 cameras, the seller said no returns and set me a photo of the lens on his Canon R5 with a 3rd party adapter. The lens looked near mint, but the Zoom was sloppy, It had obviously been used heavily for video work, this use was apparent in his R5 photo . . . . . . . . .

I have bought another . . . . . . . fingers crossed. I haven't had my refund yet.

I think my last photographic related purchase was that Hasselblad 500CM kit a few weeks ago. Haven't bought anything since, because I'm now SKINT! 😁

I too am recently poor from buying another camera. However today I received a package from B&H with 5 rolls of 120 Kentmere 200 (lovely stuff) and a beautiful Schneider slip on lens cap. To cover an attached lens hood, fits perfectly!!!

couid be a give away, freebee, book, equipment, film, chemistry
just something related to making photographs, or thinking about making photographs ...

Weston Master 3. I bought 4 of them. It is amazing that they all still work well. You can buy one for almost nothing on eBay.

2 boxes of Ilford MG paper paper but they still not have arrived. There seems to be a hold up with the box of A4 from Ilford to the dealer. I believe it is not the most popular size they sell so there may be limits on the number of boxes produced.

I should have done it long ago, but I've now found a local machinist and I can start putting more of my lenses to use and see tangible results. A very worthwhile investment.

For my first assignment, he's made a threaded flange for my Steinheil Triplar f3.8 on a Sinar lensboard to be used in combination with a Sinar auto shutter.

I did get a full refund, but the seller said no returns, and t sent me a photo of the lens in his Canon R5 shooting Video. It had obviously been used for very heavy video use, it looked excellent, but the Zoom mechanism was slack and sloppy, the lens barrel wobbled.

The seller has only ever listed 8 items on eBay, and only sold 3, or I'd name and shame, he tried it on and lost, if he lists the same lens again lets see, he will regret it . . . . . .

Meanwhile, another arrived today, mint works perfectly, and still about 1/5 of a similar new Canon lens.

I'm on a Rolleiflex / Hasselblad stride but have really slowed down how much film I shoot so this will last a couple of months.

I am waiting for the arrival of a very clean Nikon F4 (MB-20 version) that I picked at a local auction here in Sweden for peanuts. Finally I have the camera I dreamed of affording in the late 80s.

I was thrilled to find a grafmatic 4x5 film holder at a local charity shop yesterday

A box of 24x30 RA4 Fuji paper, and the corresponding RA4 Adox chemistry. I'm going to try to print color, finally!

An "ugly" 135mm cold shoe finder for $8 on KEH. Hope it's not that bad...
