What did you fix today? (part 2)

Werra 2 was jammed. In this case problem was in mechanic part of film advance, not shooter. I have cleaned it and take out plastic peace from viewfinder that where on the lever for gears. Be careful when opening top cover by unscrewing flat screws from the side, you will need a force...

Lens Jos Schneider & Co Kreuznach Xenar 4.5/10,5cm

Just to confirm, focal length on this Kodak anastigmat is 7cm so not 7.5 cm and it is not matter of labeling.

Its stuck. I will continue tomorrow. Meanwhile I have checked Xenar 10,5 cm lens. It is possible to make adapter but there will be no space to fold it back without further modifications what is out of my reach.

KA is well above average triplet lens. Sharp but not too hard, even at corners and much more tolerant in making compositions But for my taste it is kind of boring lens. I have started with our family camera with Ceasar triplet and have ruled composition first because of 3d effect and...

Lens Jos Schneider & Co Kreuznach Xenar 4.5/10,5cm

Starting from here. Front element is unscrewed from outside with barrel. Should I unscrew two screws on the plate first? Please let me know if some of these show up. Contrast of Kodak anastigmat is weak and boring.

I will continue tomorrow with more tools. It is possible that front element is assembled opposite. On the other triplet lenses also has four reflections. Here is a picture with closed shooter. Two different reflections.

It is concave and maybe that part was assmbled opposite? Yes, it is convex. I have unscrew the name ring, but not the lens. It is asking for more force. There is also a four screws from back side, but it looks like that they holding whole lenses with shooter on the plate.

Lens Jos Schneider & Co Kreuznach Xenar 4.5/10,5cm

That is correct for the most lenses for folder cameras except for the formats like 6x4.5 cm as is on to Duo 620/ It is soorter about 1 cm compared to other camera with the same 7,5 cm focal length. Later I will measure registar distance on to one 19,5 cm camera, but it will be very difficult to...

That is right Dan, there is no lens rotating on to Duo 620, but here is missing lens on the top and therefore no focus nowhere to be found. Does somebody know what is the dioptry of that lens on the top? Duo 620 is great handling camera, everything is under sight. fingers and purpose to...

Thank you for your answer. I know that swapping lenses without adjusting register distance from rear lens to the film is not possible. I have managed to adopt some lenses for my digital movie camera but there where documentation. My question is does somebody knows distance from 10,5Cm folder...

I have Kodak duo 620 camera for 6x4,5 Cm format, but front magnifier glass for focusing is missing. Also have Jos Schneider & Co Kreuznach Xenar 4.5/10,5cm lens with shooter that opening 125 on all chosen speeds. Assuming that folder lens 10,5 cm is for 6x9,5 Cm format it will be possible to...
