    116 onto spiral insanity prevention

I recently acquired some film aprons aka film lasagna for 120 and 135 film, and they are by far the easiest developing tool I have loaded film onto. It is pretty much foolproof and idiot proof. And I can attach them to the center rod in my paterson tank.

Completely unknown film stock, what could this possibly have been for?

KS perforations. And pretty sure metal spool, but let me confirm that next time I get it out to make additional 120 rolls. I might be mixing it up with something else I handled recently.

Completely unknown film stock, what could this possibly have been for?

I'm starting to have fun with it after a couple test rolls. Works well at 50 to 80 ISO. And I snagged it for only $25.

Can't help then! I recently came upon a 105mm roll of Kodak photofluorographic diagnostic film from the early 1990s, but it is only 150 feet long, perforated, and appears to have a bluer base after fixing. It also didn't have a paper wrapper. So apparently not a match.

Xray film hand rolled onto 120 backing paper: Kodak paper specifically is completely ruining the rolls but not ilford etc?

My method: Rubber bands or 3d printed film clips to keep the roll secure, and then into 120 film canisters and/or dark bags for added protection.

Kodak 2430 Fine Grain Aerial Duplicating Film

Thanks for the suggestions. I will definitely shoot the next test roll under more even lighting conditions. I'll also see about getting a color checker next month when I have a fresh photo budget.

Thanks for the backstory, very interesting. The challenge is part of the fun!

Kodak 2430 Fine Grain Aerial Duplicating Film

Hello Photrio friends, I recently purchased a 9.5" wide x 500' long roll of Kodak 2430 Fine Grain Aerial Duplicating Film from eBay. Since this specific stock seems to occasionally come up for sale, I thought I would share my initial experiences. Before purchasing, I had a hard time finding...

Astrum IR B+W Negative, or IR-200

Those are just Avery labels used to keep the rolls sealed, right? Do they peel away without tearing the backing paper or leaving much residue?

Fujifilm direct positive microfilm, anyone tried it?

Yeah that's completely understandable. If I'm being reasonable, I don't need a full roll myself. That's a lot of film for a complete unknown... And I have a bunch of stuff in my fridge I need to work through. And I want to buy a 50mm for the rz67 lens this season. But if there's a group buy...

    Bulk rolling 120/220 film

That's an interesting perspective. So why is EK selling anything directly? Why not continue to funnel everything through Alaris? I'm a total non expert and am not questioning that this is factually correct. Just observing that basically everything I read on the web is anti Alaris, but you're...

Fujifilm direct positive microfilm, anyone tried it?

Yeah you are totally right they are different films, the main reason I mentioned it is that once I realized there wasn't any info on the DD film and saw the Minipositive film was available from the same retailer, I went down that rabbit hole. Fortunately there's at least a few Flickr images to...

Fujifilm direct positive microfilm, anyone tried it?

I was actually just researching this too. I haven't tried but I know a microfilm supplier website where you can order it, but it's a minimum of two rolls. I did find a guy who has shot Fuji Minipositive II: https://www.flickr.com/photos/rentavet/albums/72157718191144603/ Fuji has exited the...
