There have been a lot of waterfall shots in the gallery, but I think this one takes the cake! Talk about a "fluid" picture!

John, this is fabulous! Top drawer, indeed. That mercury look on the water really is something else. Wow.

Thank you all very much for your enthusiastic response to this. For those who are curious, the shutter speed was about 1/8" I think. The water, though, was very much as you see it here. Shutter speed wasn't a very big factor in that it was eerily calm before taking the plunge over the falls, and just the right depth to appear this way (the "dimples" were amazing). I have 3 or 4 photos of this spot in my gallery in a different season, and different water level which have their own unique qualities a bit different from this one.

I spent yesterday afternoon printing this. The result is a bit warmer (MGIV FB) as I used PQ Universal developer, and a little less contrasty (f11 for 20" @ G 2.5 with 2" burns of the top, RHS, and bottom, and then 1/2" @ G 5). Nothing was cropped. The print is 10x10.
