During a long wait while my wife took care of some important business, I wandered off to Beacon, and to my favorite place there...the falls. I've posted a number of 'graphs from this spot. Here's another. The water level, light, season, and mood of this place is forever in flux. I'll shoot many more from here over time I think.

Truly beautiful, I never seen water photographed quite like that before.

Thanks, guys. No, David, I still haven't been to Dia Beacon...I've not had the time to commit to a thorough walk through. It's a formidable space, and I've always been more interested in the small painting, and photography galleries in the town. But...eventually....!

Wow, I was just there yesterday (I live north of there, near Poughkeepsie). Great photo. Too bad that they are tearing down the older buildings that had tons of character along the creek. Did you make it down to the old hat factory near the Hudson?

Thank you, MarkL and Jlpape. I've been to most of what's accessible in Beacon, including the old hat factory, but I think I'm more drawn to the natural than the "hand of man". jlpape...get thee there with camera and do an essay...it's wonderful film fodder!

outstanding shot

That's great. I would crop a little from the top. Looks like the grill of an old car with a glossy reflection from the paint.

Fabulous tones and textures in the water. I love your explorations of this area.

All the best,
Daniel
