A Tachihara 4x5 acquired 2024 when I got back into large format landscape photography after a decade away from the hobby.
Camera was in good overall condition, though someone mis-folded it in the past and really buggered the bellows pleating. I decided to replace the bellows with an eTone Green bellows.
During this work I elected to deal with the only real defects in the camera's overall condition, namely the peeling lacquer on the brass parts. I bought a small jeweler's gold plating kit, stripped the lacquer and plated the parts with 24k gold.
Pretty easy except for removing the lacquer...
Over a period of a year I obtained a new set of lenses as all the previous lenses were sold with the Zone VI 4x5 I had previously been using. Left to right, 65/90/150/210 and 300mm
Dan Stone made a case for the camera.
It has been a blast getting back behind the ground glass again.
