Ok so, more good news!
I found the brass piece inside the camera, it lodged itself between the motor flex and the body. I knew it couldn't have gotten out, and that it still must be inside the camera. It got a bit mangled probably due to the moving of the charging levers. I installed it and the spring, so now the shutter is complete. The only thing missing is the wavy washer, but I can live without it. I used some threadlock on the screw so hopefully it won't become loose again.
I inspected your photos very carefully, and I noticed that one lever didn't sit right, the "forky" one. I moved it a bit so that it could get into the proper position, and hey presto, the mirror box now works nicely. It releases at 3V and 50mA. The aperture closes to the determined value. So far so good.

When I move the charge lever too far forward, the mirror fires by itself, I suppose that's normal because of the excessive overcharge?
I'll probably get down to assembly later this evening, hopefully the battery pack will work, it was heavily corroded
