Wow...I applaud your ability to actually get the paper ON the reel!

I know...it ought to be very difficult as the paper is slightly wider than the film *and* I rip the paper into two parts. I still don't actually know how it happened, but glad I realised in time. The fact that I've achieved this twice in one lifetime is.....interesting!
 
I made about 10 5x7 final prints and they were in the pocket of my darkroom smock when I decided to move an old large magnifier with ring light to a different desk in my office to do some spotting. When I bent under the desk to plug in the light, I stood up and realized my mistake...all the prints in my pocket were bent.

A friend of mine did this once and called me on the phone, explaining his first film was blank when it came back from the lab.

I started explaining to him how the arrows on the paper backing should align with the one on the insert, before he put it inside the magazine. But he said there was no arrow. I was scratching my head when he said there were numbers on the paper… 😬
