Hey, the summer is starting, so it's perfect time to start taking, printing and mailing those beautiful photos! Remember that the exchange time period is June-July. August will be rest and we will have the round 24 signup in September. Try not to procrastinate, everybody is waiting for your print.

Here is the roster. I have just sent out the PMs so if you didn't get one please let me know ASAP. Do not send your print until Friday, June 10 to allow for address corrections just in case, heaven forbid, I screwed something up or someone moved since they sent their address and forgot to tell me. Your PM will also contain your own address; please check it and notify me at once if it is incorrect or out of date.

The roster this time is:

1. Eugene (anikin)
2. Uwe (piu58)
3. Kyle (Kshaub103)
4. Mike (canvassy)
5. Erno (onre)
6. Bob (megzdad81)
7. Damien (larfe)
8. Andrew (Malinku)
9. Howard (howardpan)
10. Andrew (Oxleyroad)
11. Bert (TheToadMen)
12. Jake (Black Dog)
13. Menno (spijker)

Please keep us informed and post here when you've sent or received your print.
Optionally, once the print makes it to the destination, you can upload the image of the print to the Gallery and link it in your post.

Let's have fun!

Eugene.

I'm not sure yet if it will be a pinhole image or something to be shot with my new Bronica GS-1 + 50 mm lens.

This and the previous week were very sunny around here so I went cycling a lot, and took along my Soviet rangefinders in a bag. I hope the resulting rolls of Tmax 100 contain the images for the assignment, haven't developed them yet.

Just got done printing a few prints at the mpls photo center. So one if those will be sent out soon

I'm sending my print to Bert early next week.

I sent two prints out to the first addressee. Enjoy!

Thank you for the prints! I actually got them some time ago already, but forgot to post about them.

Both of them are very enjoyable. The compositions, aesthetical choices when exposing and printing are all very good. The one taken with a Rolleiflex on APX 100, developed with Rodinal and printed on baryta paper - classic choices.

Coincidentally, the same week I had been wondering whether a Horizont could be used for taking exactly the kind of photo you took with it!

I sent mine on the 13th of June but couldn't find the right thread to post this in.

Trying to contact Malinku via PM since he's asked me for feedback but cannot figure out how to do this...

1) Click on the name of the person you want to contact
2) a pop-up screen will open.
3) Click on Start a Conversation
4) A new window will open - like an email page.

To contact Malinku, (there was a url link here which no longer exists)

For all of you I want to post my images:

I was away from home for two weeks. When I returned, I found a beautiful print from Damien on my desk. Thank you.

I received a beautiful print from Jake (=BlackDog), titled: Winter Remnants". It's from a series of images he made of WWII battlefields in Normandy, France.

Like Jake wrote: " ... This one was very different from the rest, as I tried a bit more abstract and minimal. Although it didn't fit in with the rest, I still like it and might try some more in this vein in the future ..."

Obviously, I haven't seen the other images from this series, but I know the feeling: having a beautiful print but having to let it out because it doesn't fit in the series I'm making. May that be, in itself this print is a beautiful image - especially knowing the theme. A lot of whites from a beautiful winter scenery from a place filled with a lot of darkness mere 70 years ago.

My compliments!!
Bert from Holland

Several of the other images made at Utah and Omaha beaches were published in Ag magazine in Summer 2009 (Issue 56). Thanks for the appreciative comments!

Wow, totally forgot about this one, will get back into the dark room within the week.

I just received an beautiful print from Bert from Holland: He changed a Holga camera into a pin hole camera and took a hand hold shot of a truck from a car! Fascinating.

Hi,

I have been procrastinating and finally found time to get into the darkroom this past weekend. The prints were made on the 31st and going out in the mail today.

Thank you Howard, Menno and Uwe for your updates. The Print and Send period is now over! If you have not done your print yet, maybe it's time to think about it
Now, that includes me as well - I've got some new paper from Glazers in Seattle this week-end and I'm planning to do the prints shortly.
