In addition to the camera, you need a battery and a charger. May be easier to find a camera than the battery and charger.

My partner has a canon ixus 95 digital (sd1200 us), its a reasonable spec for the period 35-105 zoom f2.8-4.9 10mp and takes great snaps with pleasing normal colours. The original died after a soaking and she bought a new canon p&s. But it didnt have a view finder nor the ixus small form factor (fits in handbag) so stopped taking pictures and it lives in the drawer. I found a barely used identical ixus online, which was maybe 10% of the cost of the new camera. So shes now back taking photos.
