In the era of Ansel Adams, having one of these was a way to envision a B&W image in a color world before you took the picture. Now it can be done better with a digital camera set on monochrome. Anyways, these were made by Fred Picker and sold by Zone VI and a few others like Calumet. You dangle the filter around your neck as you trek through the landscape, looking for the perfect composition. When found you hold this up to your eye at a distance that simulates what your frame will end up being, and you use some mental gymnastics to imagine the resultant image in greyscale. It works well. It is the same relative format as 4x5. There is a small corner area that has some air between the outer glass sandwich and the interior wratten 90 filter which can be seen in one of the pics, but this is not seen when using the filter, you are still looking through 100% wratten 90 across the whole frame. I really don't know what to ask for this but the rules state there must be a price so I'll put a price on here and if you want it for a lower price, just make me an offer.
$50.00 shipped.
Thanks, Bob Nancarrow. Will be shipped USPS first class in USA.
