A Polish photographer who began a project to document the interiors and occupants of as many Polish homes as she could beginning at the age of 67 in 1978, amassing over 20,000 images, many never printed, by the time of her death in 1997. Titled simply "Sociological Record," their intention is more documentary and typological than artistic, but their consistent neutrality allows certain aesthetic elements to come through as one browses the archive, now available at:

Very interesting.
Reminds me of the project "Das deutsche Wohnzimmer" by Herlinde Koelbl, which was much smaller and rather examplary than documentary.

Very interesting, I too noticed the amount of pictures where the Polish Pope was somewhere in the room as well.

Mick.

Marvellous, most of all in that it inspires in me the belief that I might still have some time left to do something useful or interesting photographically after all ...
