Currently working on some Ziatype prints and I am unsure where I am going wrong.

This print was exposed to direct sunlight in Dallas, TX for 30 minutes and it is the only print of the three that I did where anything is visible (30/10/2.5min).

I kept the chemistry to the same amount listed in the instructions of 15/15/1. It also looks like I am not washing the print enough but I gave each print a 10min running water wash. 5min in citric acid and 5 more minutes in running water.

Any alt process help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Are u humidifying the paper before you coat??
The fire tons front tell you that
Buy a small handsteamer foll with distilled water until paper curls then coat
Over been doing ziatypes for several years now
PM me if you need more info

I am thinking that it may have to do with the negative not being dense enough. I believe that the paper is losing a significant amount of its humidity by sitting out in the sun for extended periods of time. The humidity in Dallas is at about 50% for what its worth.
