Looking for original Bronica hood for this PE 100 Macro (not 105 macro). It does not look Bronica made one, but I may be wrong.

Have found this place with basic specs where it is stated snap-on hood. Did Bronica make a hood for this lens? I can screw on a cheap 62mm hood, just trying to find out if I am not missing something.

The manual for the ETRSi shows a system diagram at the end with many E / E II lenses, and a hood for each one including the 100mm macro. If you can find an even newer manual maybe it will show PE lenses. I would guess that the hood for the E 100mm and PE 100mm are close enough, but I don't know.

The 100 PE is hardly shown anywhere, Some of the hoods may fit, but was wondering if anyone is aware of a dedicated one for this lens. I do not see Bronica talking about it. I think I will just stick with Pro Bellows Hood E.

BTW, you probably already know this--I had my ETRSi stuff out yesterday and I noticed the PE 100mm macro lens sitting there sad because I just bought a 105mm 1:1 macro. So I checked and the 105-250 hood fits and the locking pin locks it in place. I assume it won't vignette, but I didn't check. So it may have been considered the right hood for htat lens, but maybe the lens was made for a short period and the hoods never got updated to 100-250 before the lens was dropped?

I've noticed that Bronica was pretty good about using a different mount for different hoods, so you couldn't mount a hood on a lens that it wouldn't work with.

Thanks, but isn't 105 67mm filter with corresponding larger outside diameter ?

the 105 1:1 is different, and it has its own hood. But there was also a 105mm non-Macro before the PE designation, and I think its that one that the "105-250" hood is intended for.

I have a bunch of that hood, becuase thay came with a number of the lenses I bought. They're very cheap.

I see, got it now. Thanks. Would a 105 hood obstruct 100 ? (36.7 vs. 38.5 degrees)? Close, maybe not close enough ? Then this same hood covers another lens, a much longer focal length.

Probably better choice then using hood from 75 mm lens, which would not vignette for sure, but not provide as good a shield. Truth is these macro lenses have front element quite deeply mounted, unlike non-macro lenses. Possibly hood is only needed in some specific cases?

If you can wait a few days, I’ll take the ETRSi with the 100 out the hood and do some test shots to see if there is any noticeable vignette.

No rush here, if you can it'd be great. I have no use for this hood unless it is indeed gonna work.

I didn't see any evidence of vignietting on the roll. Its still hanging to dry, but it seems all good. I shot a range of shots on the roll from fairly stopped down to fairly open (I didn't take notes) at least one was infinity and one at closest focus (it shouldn't make a difference, but who knows.) So I'll declare the 105-250 hood will work fne with 100 macro. I can try to take some light box photos tomorrow once dry.

Thanks a lot. I have dug up some older info, and back in the day when they made 100 E version (I have the PE version, must have been short lived), their hood was called 100-250. Look like once they dropped 100 from line up and got 105, they changed the designation on hood to reflect current lens offering.

Either way, good to know and just last night I pulled the 150 PE lens that I have not "seen" in quite a while, and it had the 105-250 hood, so I am all set.
