For Sale Zeiss Super Ikonta III w/Tessar- SOLD

A clean Zeiss Super Ikonta III with a Tessar lens. This is the same as a Super Ikonta IV except that they didn't cut a meter into the top. Since most of those selnium meters aren't working anyway, I finds the III to be a cleaner and more sensible version. Most IIIs camera with the Novar lens, but some had the Tessar like this one.

I cleaned the rangefinder system, aligned and adjusted everything for accurate focusing. Shutter was cleaned and speeds are very accurate. Focus system, often gummed up on these, has been cleaned and regreased and is smooth and easy to operate.

One small Zeiss bump on the right front panel, near the top. Other than that good coverings. Metal is very clean with a couple of marks and a few pin prick black dots. So this is NOT a mint camera. It's very nice looking but has enough flaws to make it comfortable to take around without a lot of worry.

Comes with an original Zeiss case in good shape, nice 'patina.' I wouldn't trust the strap as with any 60 year old leather.

I also have a 32mm slip on Zeiss yellow-green filter in excellent condition, with case. Chrome is bright and clean and the glass is clean.

I own one of these cameras and the results are quite nice! Great for hiking when you don't feel like lugging along the "big boy" cameras. GLWS
