The Zeiss Protar VII consists of a complete anastigmat lens in each cell. They are useable singly or combined. In this lens there are 2 285mm anastigmats combined to make a very sharp 162mm lens. This is Zeiss made in Germany!
This is in a tiny barrel with good aperture and the front group has a bayonet feature that lets it come out to convert the lens for 285mm use.
At 162mm it would cover 5X7 and at 285 it will cover an 8X10 format. Glass is mostly superb with a tiny bit of balsam seperation in the front that disappears before f8 and a single pin prick at the rear. No effect what-so-ever either item noted. $141
