Zeiss Ikon Tenax I camera

I have this old camera and I don't know how to open it. I wonder if someone could give me any advice. This camera belonged to my father and I am very curious to find out if there is still any film inside.

First check to see if there is any film inside by turning the film rewind to see if it turns freely (no film) or if there is tension (film inside). The rewind knob is top left.

To open the camera, there are two round wheels at the bottom of the camera, one at each side. Flip each one up and turn them 180 degrees. The back should then slide off.

I'd love to see pictures of the camera if you have any!

Withn the Tenax I (1939 model) there is a single button on the underside which needs to be turned by 1/4 turn and then slid sideways. the back and base then come off.

I have a Tenax I in reasonable but well used condition. Lens is very soft and I think might benefit from taking aprt and cleaning - not a job for my two left hands! Shutter is just fine.

I collect Zeiss Ikon cameras, mostly from pre WWII.
