I am selling the following lens:
Zeiss C Sonnar ZM 50 f/1.5 Black
I bought this lens on RFF last year, and it has been serving me duly all this time. C Sonnar has lovers and haters, and I fall in the latter category. It is a superb lens for portrait, IMHO, despite its well-known downsides.
The lens is optimized for 2.8, and should possibly show some focus shift at the wider apertures. This should not be visible on film, but may be visible when using digital cameras. This said, I have shot this lens with a M9, and I have not noticed a focus shift at 1.5.
Optically, the lens is in prestine condition. It has always been used with a filter and has served as my only lens, so it has rarely been unmounted from the camera. Cosmetically, the barrel is clean, except some traces of use (see pics). The barrel has some minimal wobble. When I say minimal, I really mean it. It should be a tiny fraction of a millimeter, because it is not really visible. One can only feel it while holding the focus ring and the body itself in two hands. It came to me like this, and it is still the same. The wobble did not deteriorate during one year of use.
It comes with a B W multicoated UV filter, a B W Yellow filter and its optional and rather expensive hood. I have the original rear cap, but I have lost the original front cap and I can provide a generic cap instead. I also should have the purchase receipt, and the original guaranty document, but I am pretty sure I do not have the box anymore.
I price this one at 925$ with the two filters and the hood, and I take on the PayPal fees. Buyer pays for shipping.
