For Sale Zeiss 85mm F2 Sonnar for Contax Rangefinder

I am selling my Zeiss 85mm F2 Sonnar for Contax or Kiev rangefinder cameras.

This lens has fungus and signs of internal cemented element separation. Despite these issues, I actually think the lens would be capable of taking good photos since the overall aspect of the glass is fairly clear and the negative consequences of glass separation on film images are not as bad as the human eye perceives them to be (slight amounts of light loss occur in the separated regions due to index of refraction changes).

I cannot see any scratches on the glass, and the iris blades are clean. The focus is smooth, but the iris action is tight, however it is usable. Cosmetically the lens is beautiful.

I do not have time to test this lens now, so because of that and its condition I have set a price for it that is 5X less than what a problem-free example would sell for, so it's a bargain for someone wanting to experiment. This lens however is being sold AS-IS, for experimentation, collecting, parts, or restricted use - no returns. Lens only with no caps or other accessories (the filter seen on the lens is not included).
