I am selling a Zeiss 58mm F2 Biotar for Exakta and Topcon. The condition is very good. The overall glass aspect is very clear with no haze, scratches, fungus, or separation. Under a bright backlight one can see some internal dust specks and a faint layer of microscopic bubbles on some internal layer, but these are fairly sparse and will not (in my view) impact image quality. There is some oil on this iris blades, but this is inconsequential to use as this is not an automatic lens and in fact the oil will protect the iris blades from corrosion. Cosmetically the lens is very clean with a mostly unmarked metal structure that still retains a beautiful bright finish. There is a slight region of paint loss on one small part of the filter thread, perhaps the result of a slight ding, but 49mm filters thread on well. The focus and iris action are very smooth and precise.
I have set an attractive price on this exceptional lens. Sold with front cap.
