Zeiss 531 Super Ikonta with a 7cm Tessar. Compur Rapid shutter. New bellows (made myself and work well, but probably the last set of bellows I build).

6 x 4.5 format. Two red windows on back so you wind a number to first window then second window.

Shutter button on top. Albeda (?) finder but it was so dark and tarnished that I stripped it down. So it is basically a clean optical finder, as accurate a need be for this kind of camera.

Photo to follow shortly.

$125 obo, plus shipping ($15 US, others inquire)

Good price for a great camera. The Albada finder is no great loss. At least on my 531, it is wildly inaccurate.

Photos added.

The viewfinder actually works well. It is a simple look-through, no frame lines. But pretty accurate once you get a handle on positioning your eye.

This was a my basic winter pocket camera for the last two years. Easy to operate with gloves. I have another folder, Voigtlander Bessa, which has replaced this so time for it to move on elsewhere...

I guess "wildly inaccurate" is a poor choice of words. I mean that a lot of area outside of the lines is included in the photo. At over 80 years of age, they are great cameras. I love shooting mine. At $125 you won't go wrong.

Agreed. Once I removed the frame lines and the heavy tarnish, the clear optical viewfinder seems fairly accurate of the final negatives. You can remove the frame lines and coating by soaking in acetone.

Not to jinx your sale but here's hoping it will still be available when my SOCIAL SECURITY arrives in DEC. I lost mine thirty years ago and have not found one at such a great price.

Forgot all about this listing and ran across the camera in my cabinet yesterday. So this is one long-delayed bump.

Not mentioned in listing that the rangefinder is clean and it is accurate. It is not Leica-bright for the two images but is quite usable in most any light.

Do you know if it is pre or post-war? I'm wondering if the lens is coated.

Of course ... 80 years ... that's what I get for posting late at night. How does focusing work on that model? Does it rely on a distance scale or coupled/uncoupled rangefinder?

All the Super Ikontas had coupled rangefinders.
