A few days ago I just finished converting my Polaroid 110B to 4x5" format. The conversion was perfect (I posted something in Apug to) and I was able to take pictures in 4x5" using the 110B rangeginder.

Today I went outdoor for shooting. It was supposed to be my first day out with the new camera. Then... DANG! The shutter jammed. So far it worked ok during the first dozen of test pictures. It wasn't either sluggish at slower speeds.

The arming lever arms the shutter but doesn't sound right and if you press the release button after, it doesn't fire. If you move both the release button and the arming lever, then it moves, but doesn't fire (the lens opens, though).

Now, if that's not bad luck you tell me what's it called in english

I never played with shutters. Do you think is something that I can fix myself? Otherwise I'll just bring the lens to a camera repairer.

I heard that these Prontor SVS shutters aren't much reliable. Do you know which shutter is compatible with the 110B and this Ysarex lens?

Those shutters are certainly not great at all. Some have a self timer built in and they are known to stick, it is usually a "V" setting next to the M and X sych settings. Have you checked to make sure you didn't accidently engage it? Move it a bit and see if shutter frees itself. Good luck.

Ysarex 127mm shutter size

A couple of years ago, I put one of these Ysarex 127 f:4.7 lenses into a little Seiko shutter that was the same size as a copal 0. It works well on 4x5.
