I used XTOL stock all the time in the past. Now I use XTOL replenished which is still full strength.

I'll bet the paper develops pretty quick doesn't it? And it probably has some pretty dense blacks!

It reminds me of a similar mistake I made, years ago, when I developed a roll of Tri-X in the HC-110 STOCK solution. It resulted in some really dense highlights!!!

Dektol isn't like Xtol. Dektol is for paper and it develops all the way, unlike film developers where you don't develop the film to its maximum contrast, so sing Dektol straight is just wasting it since Kodak designed it to be diluted.

Hahaha it did indeed I was confused when reading the instructions for Fuji paper that developing time was 90+ seconds - mine were done in 15 or less!

I once diluted my Dektol 1 part to 1 part H20 rather than 1 part to 2 part H20. It did develop my paper little faster, I think. The end result after 1 minute of soaking was the same though. (that is, I couldn't tell the difference by casual inspection) No harm done, except for being little wasteful.
