I apology if maybe someone asked the same but:

Would you make a shipping to Europe, Balcan, and what would be the price, days of transport etc..?

Hi Stevco,

It would all depend on agreements with distributors but at this point i see no problems.

A parcel weighing 1.75kg, 25cm x 25cm x 25cm shipped to Croatia via airmail (10-14 days) would be $43.25 Australian dollars

To give you an idea, that would be aprox 40-50 rolls of 120 film.

Thank you Andrew.

Andrew I finally had a chance to check your draft list, and these are my regular purchases which are there (although I'm OK for a while for film)

TriX 400TX / 120

TriX 320TXP 4x5

Dektol and D76 in 3.8 Litre packs.

(but they would have to be cheaper than popping down to Vanbar Camperdown with my $2.50 Seniors' train ticket.

I hope that this is of assistance. Please pardon my frugality.

Regards - Ross

Was reading the post by Andrew K above and thought that having a parallel listing of items up on eBay and a small classy' box advert in the Photo Trader would be good ideas too, additional to the standalone website AK is building. It's a relief that a freight broker can work to help move hazardous or sensitive stock. I'll eagerly put in my order when the site is up and running!

That is the plan, Poisson du Jour.

I've got a quick sample of the logos that are being worked on at the moment.

File is attached

Pity you're not carrying Astia 100 in 120 and 35.
I'd much rather have that than Provia 100, which is a totally surpassed emulsion.
Ah well, back to cheapshotsau...

Or is it a capstan reference? ;-)

as in a reel to reel? Like a Studer or Nagra?

Hrmm. I'm not sure. My fantastic graphic designer has come up with some great ideas. I've now got a lens board & lens on the left side of the text.

I'll have a splash page up in a couple of days and will be getting eBay sales happening very soon. Some products which many of you will be very, very interested in.

Can't wait! Just starting off with film myself, will definitely stay tuned :D

Awesome, if you ever need any advice - send me an email. I'd be more than happy to assist you with any question you have!

Cheers, thanks will do! The initial order list has more than enough variety for my needs!

If i can buy it for a price which enables me to resell at a competitive price, i'll get it in.

I am running into a brick wall trying to buy bulk Fuji products. Fuji Australia are not interested.

Everything else is looking good. Oriental Seagull Fiber & Resin papers are going to be a key line. I'm going to try and get their RA-4 B&W too

I've not had a chance to read the thread in full, but this podcast might be of some interest to you. Matt set up a film sales business in the UK not long ago, and talks here about some difficulties in getting hold of Fuji products... This is a really good listen.

I've also just confirmed that i will be stocking 620 B&W and Colour film as well as 116 & 616 B&W film. I will make this available worldwide.

I and my Kodak Six-Sixteen camera thank you

Just a suggestion, but maybe the logo should have elements that definitely represent film as the medium e.g. cut sheet notches, 35mm, 120 roll spools etc. Cut sheet notches obviously are easier to work with graphically, with 35mm film a close second e.g. as a rectangular containing for the logo with the top edge fashioned as 5x4 film notches.

I just thought I should point out that Albox Australia Make archival neg sleeves in every format, as well as books and folders for the sleeves, and storage boxes for prints. And they're Australian, their office is just outside of Adelaide, I went there on monday. I've used their products for the last half a decade and always found them to be top notch, so I wouldnt hesitate to reccomend stocking them.

Chiming in with something I'm after locally, too.
Dead Link Removed stocks archival quality black masks for mounting transparencies either individually or as pages in 35mm (still highly sought after), 6x6 and 6x7. They are notoriously quiet when making an enquiry. No local dealers in Australia but there are other masks here and there in retail made of plastic (not such a good choice).

I don't have any trouble sourcing negative/transparency page sleeves locally or in Melbourne, but I understand the situation varies from State to State.

Gary,
I think Zeta Florence in Gertrude Street in Fitzroy stocks them, but I don't know the price.
Mike

Ah, yes, Gertrude Street. Yes, silly me. When they are in stock, they are about $25.00 for the 35mm masks (works out at about $1.00 each mask).

Ever tried to walk down Gertrude Street as a photographer and not be noticed or approached!? Not possible! Darlink, it's the hippest place to be with a camera!
