I would go for it. If you do not get it there will be another enlarger.

The enlarger looks to be in very good condition - the lack of baseboard isn't much of a concern as you can easily fashion one from a piece of heavy plywood, or bolt the column to a tabletop. Even though this comes with the 35mm and 6x6 negative carriers, keep in mind that the 35s mixing head may only handle 35mm negatives. To print medium format negs up to 6x7 you may need to invest in the 67 mixing head, which should fit this enlarger. See here: http://store.khbphotografix.com/6x7...Dichro-67-and-Printmaker-Colorheads-Used.html .

I use an LPL enlarger with a similar color head for B/W, and it's very convenient to dial in the filtration rather than use separate filters.

The included 50/2.8 El-Nikkor lens is excellent though, I use this same version for all my 35mm printing. I'm not familiar enough with this particular model to know if all the parts are there, but the seller has great feedback so it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Dear CMoore,

It does not need a proprietary power supply although a voltage stabilizer would be nice if you try color.
I wouldn't pay more but the link from Matt would be easier to get up and running as the baseboard already exists. Before any purchase, make sure they have a negative carrier included.
Enlargers are pretty simple and anything with a color head is likely a decent purchase.
The unit will be very handy for b&w printing as contrast can be dialed in or out as needed. The biggest limitation I can see for it is that it only prints 35mm.

Good luck and enjoy whatever you decide,

Thank You -
The "problem" with buying local is that it rarely shows up. A drive of 50 miles, one way, is worth an easy 50 bux to me.
I have been watching Craigslist for a year now. What shows up, local, is either junk or stuff that is priced so high, the seller about spits in my face when I offer them 150 dollars for their item that is "worth" 600 dollars.
Time will tell.
Thanks Again Guys

It's over priced IMO, limited to 6X6 and unless you plan doing color unneeded additional stuff to fail. It does have an internal power supply. The bulbs can be expensive & a bit hard to find. Most can be had online though.

Lately(last 3-4 months) one of the local Goodwill stores has had a couple for ~$20. with lens but no carriers. One had a 50/2.8 Rodagon on it.
