Leica IIIc to replace my non-working IIIf, and a Summitar 50mm f/2. NYC is deadly for my wallet.

Mine's kinda out there. My latest rangefinder camera is a Wollensak Stereo 10. I bought it as an upgrade to a Stereo Realist camera I was using. The Wollensak works like a charm and the results are great. I'm not mega into stereo slides (I usually shoot with a few of vintage medium format and "normal" 35mm cameras), but whenever I show my stereo slides to anyone it just blows them away! Especially when they find out that I created them with a camera from the '50s.

Argus Match-Matic, just took a roll of b/w out of the freezer to use this weekend.

A Minolta Hi-Matic E in excellent condition for $12 plus shipping.

Just picked up a cla'd Canonet GL III. It's on the way somewhere over America going cross country. Looks like a nice compact RF. My first, I'll get that Leica one of these days though - an M2 is the dream.

A Canon GIII-QL17. I sold my last one and almost instantly regretted it. I'm so glad to have found this one.

Thanks Andy. Just got the Canonet and the shutter sounds great at all speeds. Need to get a roll to test this out. I'm a little confused how to use zone focusing, the markings and meter distance is not right over the top, but to the right. Any suggestions anyone?

Be careful, you might get what you asked for, and Leicas are very addictive! I started with a IIIa, graduated to a IIIf, then fell in love with a beautiful M2. Problem is, I want more! Santa would be very nice indeed if he left a Summilux 35 in my stocking.

While in St. Louis a weekend ago, a friend took me to an antique mall in nearby Fairview Heights, IL, where I found a Graflex Century 35 rangefinder (made by Kowa in Graflex's last days) in surprisingly good physical shape and perfect operating condition. I ran a roll through it and liked the results.

(I could have bought an Exakta at the same time, but the price was arguably steep and the included lens was frozen up. It seemed to be working fine otherwise, so I somewhat regret not picking it up anyway.)

I got a nice 1946 Leica IIIc with a 50mm Elmar, a 135mm Elmar tele, a Leitz closeup adapter and viewfinder at an out of the way antique store. Cheap...

My Leica CL arrived in the mail today. I'm liking it.

Picked up an M4-P (first M body !) from Youxin Ye while he CLA'd my IIIc and cleaned my 50 2.8 Elmar, as well as the M4-P.

And holy $^}* they're soooooooooo smooth.

Olympus XA will attempt to be my P&S, found myself reaching for my phone for quick snaps and think this will offset that phenomena, can't wait to get it in the mail soon. Went from one RF to two now, got the bug and am thrilled to have it!

A 1967 M4.

Canon P, Leitz Summitar 5cm arrived yesterday. Both in KEH BGN condition. Negs from a quick roll of HP5 look good. I'm keeping it. Just ordered a lens hood, adapter and cap from heavystar on the big auction site.

Last Big Buy

My last purchace was a Canon Auto-up in 50mm 1.8 for $8.(the shipping cost $10.+change) After spending my pile-o-cash I'll start saving for more out of date film.:whistling:Sounds like some good deals you folks found.

Just picked up a pretty Yashica Lynx 5000e for $25 on Craigslist. The lens had some fungus, fortunately only on the front surface; it came off easily. This camera has a Copal SV leaf shutter with a top speed of 1/1000th of a second. Nice! I have no idea if the meter works since I have no batteries for it, but the camera is otherwise working well. Can't wait to put some film through it.

Well done, your first RF? She looks in good condition too.

Hi Bateteur,

Yes, she's in great nick. Not my first rangefinder though, just my first M. Used to own a R3a. Currently own a Epson R-D1 and Mamiya 7, both used regularly. Time to see what all the fuss is about. Some from my first film. Taken in the Frankfurt Modern Art gallery.

I recently picked up a reasonably priced M2-R from eBay and had Youxin Ye check it out. After a CLA he said it hasn't been used much and it's ready to go for the next 30 years! Lovely camera with exactly the same framelines as my MP3.
