Well I'm a Canon guy, my backup to my EOS 1V is my AE-1 FD mount camera...

My "other" SLR is a Mamiya RZ67 medium format SLR...

Those are the only SLR's I bother with. The best

Nikon F3HP is my main, other SLR use to be my Nikon FE, although I since picked up another F3 (non HP).

I have several SLR systems. Lately, my favorite "other" camera is a Minolta XD 11. I really like using it with the compact 45/2.

I like how it handles. I think its size is just about perfect for my hands. And I think the controls are intelligently laid out. The one thing that it lacks is an On-Off switch, so you always have to be careful that there isn't anything resting on top of the camera, specifically the shutter release.

I reskinned it using material from Aki-Asahi. I was going to use the other guy in the U.S., but I actually wanted to receive my order.

The Nikons and Canons are my "other" cameras. For SLR, I prefer the screw-mount Yashica and Pentax cameras. But I use rangefinders, scale focus, or point and shoot cameras more than SLR.

I don't have another SLR. Well, I do have some M42 toys but I never really use them. The only non-Nikon 35mm gear I have and use is the Hexar AF, but it's not and can't be a replacement for my F3/F100. And it's not an SLR.

I used to be a Nikon SLR person, but have no particular affiliation since the film camera market became so affordable. Anything reasonably light with a manual focus lens and modern batteries fits the bill. Toting heavy metal pro cameras around doesn't appeal any more, no matter how well made and durable they are.

That's one of the reasons my main camera these days is a Nikon EM. My other system SLR is Minolta Dynax, in particular the 700SI.

I still use my Pentax SuperProgram as my main SLR, but I really like my Minolta SRT-101 as well. I shoot the Minolta with a Rokkor 55 or a Vivitar Series 1, 70-210 zoom. Both lenses are excellent.

My still life work is 8x10 and my landscape is divided between Rolleiflex and Pentax 67. However I do have a Nikon F100 that hasn't seen a roll of film in years that I keep because I love the way it feels in my hands. I have a bunch of lenses for it too. I like it too much to sell.

Same here (although I have a Rokkor 50 and 58, not the 55). And my "other SLR" is a -102

I'm fine for now, maybe a 645 SLR should my C330 fail. In 35mm I always had a soft spot for second-tier players like the Contax RTS III or Oly OM 4Ti.

I'm a Nikon guy, but I wouldnt give up my R4 or Miranda F. Both are great cameras. I just love the logical front shutter release on the Mianda and the quick change pentaprism. Id rather sell my F100 ad stick to those than the other way around. I'm lucky though, my local studio/lab owner is a friend and she owns several R bodies and a bunch of glass that she let's me borrow when I need.

I'm a Nikon guy now, but I still have a place in my heart for my first SLR that I recently used, the original Canon AE-1.

I currently shoot Nikon but occasionally will pick up one of my AE-1s,run a roll through it and marvel and the simplicity and light weight. I have a few other camera I haven't used in ages but just can get rid of for some reason.

I use Nikons. My other SLRs include Pentax, Yashica, Olympus, and Miranda. But my favorite "other" SLR is a Nikon, too.

My main SLR's are Canon F1-N's, my other ones are a EF and a T 90, so all my FD lenses fit and work on all my bodys, because I rationalised my gear more than 20 years ago and stuck to one system.

If I were advising a newbie, the Yashica FR is an excellent camera and ML lenses are high quality and affordable. The DSB single coated lenses are also good, cheap and plentiful.

My go-to SLR is the Pentax ESII - I have three of them - but my second pick would be either my Nikon FM2N, which I use for a lot of my music work, or a Zenit E... the one I have works perfectly, and I've paired it with an absolutely stunning late-model Helios-44 I got off a crapped-out Zenit 12. It's great fun to use.
