Your favorite Nikon AIS Lens?

I am a lucky person to own a Nikkor 85mm F1.8 'K' that is factory AD'd. Top lens.

I own a factory converted one, too, and it's one of my favorites, along with the 105/1.8 AIS. The fast medium length Nikkors are so nice for portraits!
 
I won't use current models exclusively because you can find just about anything if you look -- it doesn't have to come only from a retailer.
I LOVE my 85mm 1.4 AIS, 25-50mm AIS, 16mm Fisheye AIS, and 50mm 1.4 AIS.

If I had answered this thread when it was first posted, my answer would have been:

35mm f/1.4 (this lens replaced 35mm f/2)
85mm f/1.8 (this lens could be replaced by the f/1.4 version)
180mm f/2.8


My answer today is the same.

When I worked for a newspaper, these three lenses could handle 90% of my routine assignments. One reason I did not replace the 85mm f/1.8 with the f/1.4 version was that the 1.8 version used the same filter size as the 35mm lens.

16mm f2.8 fisheye (not as extreme as other fish-eyes and covers the entire frame)
300mm f4.5 IF ED (amazingly small and well built, tack-sharp wide open)
600mm f5.6 IF ED (I paid less then $1200 for mine, so it's under the limit, amazing lens comparable to others costing thousands more)

Add me to the factory AI'd 85/1.8K crowd, but I liked the H too....it's the FL that I like about it...the distance I like to get to my subjects...
 
28mm /f2.8, 50mm f/1.2 and 105mm f/1.8. I shoot really slow film.....
 
Nikkor 35 2.8, tack sharp all around. Good street walkaround too.

Yes, I shot with more than one lens, but my favourite is my 20mm AI-S

Lately my youngest daughter (20 years young) has the FM2 and playing with it. On her art class, she is the only one shooting film.
