4x5/8x10 ......the 210 Schneider Gold Dot Dagor ..a couple of stops down it leaves all my other lenses behind in sharpness.

MF toss up between...... the 2.8 80mm Xenotar and 2.8 80mm HFT Planar. The Xenotar might be sharper (hard to tell) but the Planar lends a presence like it is right there.
 
I have a limited range to choose from (only four; all 35mm) but without question it's the Tamron SP 90mm f2.8 AF macro (not the current Di incarnation or the original f2.5 with manual extension tube: the one in-between). Why? Because it always delivers for me, both as a macro lens (within my own technical limitations) and as a general portrait lens - great bokeh.
